Aircraft Cleaning & Detailing at Tatenhill Airfield
Tatenhill is a field we genuinely know: the flying-school fleet work in our gallery — the Cessna 152s and the PA-28 cleaned nose to tail and back on the line — was photographed here. That work is the clearest picture of what we offer any Tatenhill-based owner or operator.
It is a proper working airfield with an active training and private scene, and it sits comfortably inside our same-day range, which makes scheduled programmes as practical as one-off details.
Under an hour from base — a regular run for us.
Real work, on this field
Training aircraft here fly hard, and the difference a scheduled clean makes is visible from the fuel pumps: leading edges free of bug build-up, bellies free of exhaust staining, glazing you can actually see through in low sun. For privately owned aircraft in the hangars, the same visits cover interior detailing, brightwork and annual protection — without the aircraft ever leaving the field.
How we work at Tatenhill
Fleet visits run to a schedule agreed around the booking sheet — early starts so aircraft are clean and dry before the first lesson. For individual owners, you tell us where the aircraft lives and arrange access; we bring everything else. Wet wash where the site allows it, aviation dry-wash where it doesn't.
Blue Horizon Aviation is an independent service provider and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the operator of Tatenhill Airfield. Airside access is arranged by you or your handling agent — see our Service Terms. Appearance care only; we never perform maintenance or engineering work.

Questions
Tatenhill — questions answered
What owners and operators at Tatenhill Airfield ask us most.
Is the fleet work in your gallery really from Tatenhill?
Yes — the flying-school Cessna 152s and PA-28 in our gallery were cleaned and photographed at Tatenhill as part of scheduled fleet visits. It is the standard any aircraft here can expect.
Can individual owners book, or is it fleets only?
Both. Fleet programmes and single privately owned aircraft get the same methods and products — the only difference is scheduling and pricing structure.
What does a typical first visit look like?
Usually a full exterior wash and interior clean so we can assess the airframe honestly, followed by a recommendation — which may simply be 'nothing more needed until spring'.
