Protection & Enhancement

Aircraft Paint Enhancement & Protection

Enhancement without protection wastes half the work; protection over tired paint seals in the dullness. This service does both properly, in the right order: the paint is washed, decontaminated and machine-refined to recover gloss and reduce oxidation, then protected with the system that suits your aircraft — polymer sealant or a longer-term coating.

You don't buy the products; you buy the outcome. Which protection goes on is a recommendation we make per airframe — based on how it's operated, its warranty position and how long you want the result to last — and we explain the reasoning plainly.

What's included

Thorough wash and decontamination; surface preparation; single-stage machine refinement to enhance gloss and reduce oxidation; and protection applied over the corrected surface — a cross-linking polymer sealant as standard, or a long-term coating where the aircraft and its operation make that the better recommendation. Optional extras such as Xzilon X20, an aerospace coating, are offered where they genuinely add value — priced clearly on your quote, never bundled quietly.

An honest note on protection systems

Polymer sealant systems are the technology airframe manufacturers formally recognise, which is why managed and warranted jets are usually protected that way. Ceramic (SiO₂) coatings offer the hardest, longest-lived protection and are a well-proven choice for privately operated aircraft — though no airframe manufacturer currently approves them for their paint systems. We set out both plainly and recommend what fits your aircraft, not whichever carries the bigger margin.

Whichever system goes on, the effect is the same in kind: water sheets off, bugs and exhaust film release with gentle washing, UV oxidation slows, and every clean afterwards is quicker and kinder to the paint.

Questions

Paint Enhancement & Protection — questions answered

Can I just buy the sealant on its own?

We don't apply protection over unprepared paint — it seals in whatever is underneath. Protection is always the final stage of this service or a Complete Detail, over paint that's been washed, decontaminated and refined so the result is worth locking in.

Sealant or ceramic — which will you recommend for mine?

Broadly: OEM-recognised polymer sealant for managed, warranted or newer jets; ceramic as a strong option for privately operated GA aircraft wanting maximum longevity. We confirm after seeing the aircraft and hearing how it's operated.

How is this different from Paint Correction?

Enhancement is a single refining stage for oxidation and light marring; correction adds compounding stages that remove established defects. If your paint needs correction we'll say so — this service then becomes its finishing step.
