Who we are
Blue Horizon Aviation (“we”, “us”) provides aircraft appearance services across the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website (bluehorizonaviation.co.uk) and in the course of providing our services.
You can contact us about anything in this policy at aviationbluehorizon@gmail.com or by telephone on 07818 514079.
What information we collect
Enquiry and quotation details: your name, email address, telephone number, aircraft details (type, model, base airfield) and anything you choose to tell us in a message. We collect this when you submit a quote form, email, call or message us.
Service delivery details: booking information, site access requirements, service records and, where relevant, photographs of work carried out on your aircraft.
Website usage data: with your consent, analytics cookies collect information about how the website is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type). See our Cookie Policy for detail.
We deliberately collect the minimum needed. We do not collect special-category data, and we ask you not to include any in enquiry messages.
Why we use it (lawful bases)
To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations — legitimate interests / steps prior to a contract.
To deliver services you have booked, and to invoice for them — performance of a contract.
To keep records we are legally required to keep (for example, accounting records) — legal obligation.
To understand and improve how the website performs — consent (analytics cookies load only if you accept them).
To send service reminders or updates about services you use — legitimate interests, with an easy opt-out in every message.
How your information is stored and shared
Enquiry and customer information is held in the business systems we use to operate, which may include our customer-relationship platform (GoHighLevel), email and accounting software. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and data-processing commitments; some may store data outside the UK with appropriate safeguards (such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses).
We never sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become bookings: up to 24 months, so we can pick up a returning conversation, then deleted.
Customer and service records: for the duration of our relationship and up to 6 years afterwards, reflecting contractual and tax record-keeping requirements.
Analytics data: per the retention settings of the analytics tools, and only where you consented.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to data portability where applicable. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise any right, email aviationbluehorizon@gmail.com — we respond within one month. Deletion requests are honoured except where we must retain records by law.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies and analytics
Non-essential cookies (analytics, and any future marketing tags) load only with your consent, which you can change at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Full details, including every cookie we set and for how long, are in our Cookie Policy.
