Fleet Appearance Programmes

One aircraft can be cleaned when someone remembers. A fleet can't. Schools, charter operators and management companies need presentation that stays consistent across every airframe, without anyone chasing it — which is precisely what a scheduled appearance programme delivers.

Blue Horizon Aviation plans fleet care around how your aircraft actually work: washing cycles matched to utilisation, visits arranged around the booking sheet and weather days, and the deep-clean, protection and brightwork work scheduled through the year so standards never slide between efforts.

Why scheduled care wins

The case for a programme over ad-hoc cleaning

Recurring appearance care isn't a luxury version of washing — it's a different operating model, and it pays for itself in standards, admin and airframe condition.

Presentation that never slides

Ad-hoc cleaning yo-yos between neglected and briefly excellent. A programme holds every aircraft at standard, all year — the state customers, students and passengers actually see.

Corrosion control on schedule

Washing frequency is the core of corrosion prevention. A programme makes the interval deliberate instead of accidental — especially valuable for aircraft parked outside in the UK climate.

Zero admin, zero chasing

One arrangement, one point of contact, visits that happen without being organised each time. Your team runs aircraft; we keep them presentable.

Planned around revenue flying

Early mornings, weather days, maintenance downtime — cleaning slots into the gaps in your programme, not the other way round.

Better value than ad-hoc

Regularly maintained aircraft need less product, less time and less remedial work per visit — economics that a programme passes back in its rates.

A record of care

Documented, consistent appearance care supports leaseback obligations, charter presentation standards and eventual resale.

Who programmes serve

Built around how your fleet actually operates

Flying schools & clubs

High-utilisation trainers, monthly fleet washes, canopy care as a safety habit, and interiors that give trial-lesson customers the right first impression. Programmes priced per aircraft and planned entirely around the booking sheet.

Charter & AOC operators

Turnaround cabin cleans, scheduled exterior details and predictable standards across mixed fleets — with the reliability and communication an operation depends on.

Aircraft management companies

One supplier and one standard across multiple owners' aircraft, with per-aircraft records, discretion as standard and the paperwork your vendor onboarding needs.

Scope

What a programme includes

Scope and frequency are agreed per aircraft — this is the typical shape.

  • Scheduled exterior washing (wet and dry cycles matched to each aircraft)
  • Interior cleaning to agreed standard per aircraft role
  • Canopy and window care every visit
  • Belly degrease and de-ice equipment care on rotation
  • Seasonal work planned in: enhancement, protection, brightwork
  • Condition notes flagged to your team as we see them

Questions

Fleet programmes — questions answered

How is a fleet programme priced?

Per aircraft, per visit, against an agreed scope and frequency — so a school with six PA-28s knows exactly what presentation costs each month. Quotations follow a fleet review where we see the aircraft and how they operate.

Can you work around our flying schedule?

That's the point of a programme. Visits are planned around the booking sheet, weather days and maintenance downtime — early starts included — so cleaning never takes an aircraft off revenue flying.

Do you provide fleet maintenance in the engineering sense?

No — Blue Horizon Aviation provides appearance care only: cleaning, detailing, protection and presentation. We don't perform engineering, mechanical or avionics work, and our programmes are designed to complement your maintenance organisation, not overlap it.

What size fleet do you take on?

From a two-aircraft syndicate to a full training fleet. The programme scales with the aircraft list — and grows with it.
